Discover Alexander Technique and get to know us!
Before embarking on a teacher training course, it is essential to have worked on Alexander Technique in individual sessions with a qualified teacher. To best prepare your arrival amongst us, you will need to arrange a lesson with the director, Agnès de Brunhoff, or the assistant director, Christine Clicquot, as well as a series of visits, spread across the course of a week, in our workshop.

What you come out with at the end

This course enables you to to apply the principles of Alexander Technique via words and touch, in your everyday life.

But beyond this, you will be able to pass on your knowledge and experience to others through the medium of conferences and workshops, both theoretical and practical.

Our aim at the CFTA is to be the best possible guide for you along your journey of personal and professional discovery.

For this, our close-knit teaching team will be devoted to your well-being within a mixed group of students from each of the three years, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The CFTA is based on the academic year, following school holiday dates in mid-autumn, at Christmas, in February and at Easter, and closing down for the summer from the second week in July to the third week in August.

The Alexander Technique Training Centre accepts new intakes of pupils at the beginning of each term

We take reservations for introductory sessions Mondays to Wednesdays for an hour and a half (10:00 to 11:30 or 11:00 to 12:30)

Practical teaching

Is divided into two stages:

The first consists of individual sessions with a member of the teaching staff

This is followed by workshops where pupils work in small groups

The theory

is taught by means of exchanges and debates around particular aspects of Alexander Technique, using books, articles and oral presentations around the chosen theme.

Intensive sessions

These sessions are exchanges which deepen our understanding of Alexander Technique and allow us to learn about other dimensions of it, beyond the range of our everyday life. Every year the CFTA organizes exchanges with other Alexander Technique schools and teachers, in France and/or abroad.

Alexander Technique Refresher Courses

are run twice a month on Tuesdays from 14:00 to 15:00 to provide a forum for exchange and in-depth study of Alexander Technique and how it is taught.
